My Point of View on the Megha Sharma case
Megha Sharma’s version
According to the Mumbai based model, she hit the watchman because he called her characterless. His misbehavior encouraged her to resort to violence.
She went down and got herself a smoke but she also talked to the guard as to why could he not have asked one of the watchmen to go.
She then told an ANI reporter that the guard threw a fit and went on to call her 'characterless' and comment upon her attire. She added that he said, "We are not here to treat you like a princess." Infuriated by this, she hit him. Another watchman joined the argument shortly and started hurling abuses at her. It was then that she herself called the police and a team from Oshiwara police station arrived within 10 minutes. The police then asked her to come to the police station but she politely refused at first, saying that since there is no lady constable available, she would go to the police station the next morning. She said that she did not feel comfortable and safe going to the police station wearing what she was wearing at 2.50 am.
She offered her lawyer's number and asked to be let go as she had a shoot early morning but she claimed that the cops kept insisting that she had to come with them. When she pressed the lift button, 8-10 men surrounded her and tried to take her out of the elevator, all the while reiterating that she would have to go to the police station. She claimed that she had almost even agreed to go with them but she wanted to go change into something comfortable but she was not allowed to, as could have been very well seen in the visuals that went viral. It was then, all of a sudden, she claimed that she went blank and her mind stopped working. In a fit of rage, she took off her clothes, which she said was the most mortifying incident of her life. She added that she feared, even in presence of the cops that she could have been raped. She still insists on being told why a lady constable was not there at the time.

There can be a chance of anyone forgetting to buy cigarettes. Its not that everyday she tells to watchman to do things for her.
Arun’s version (Watchman)
This version is similar to what could be seen in the CCTV camera footage.
According to him, when he refused to get cigarettes for her, she assaulted him out of fury. This assault was in form of multiple slaps and kicks. He tried to defend himself and move away from her but she continued hitting him. His statements could be confirmed as true from the CCTV camera footage.
NOW MY POINT OF VIEW -
Now that you have listened to what the proofs shows.
Let me ask you one thing. Was she being a model going to leave the house in the morning with bags packed just because she hit someone? Was she going to take a leave from work and go to another city just because of one mistake?
What would u expect your sister to do if she has been name called? Would u want your sister to go at night to pick up cigarettes (dont argue me that she doesn't smoke cigarettes understand the point)
Let me make you understand one thing. According to indian law a girl cannot be arrested from 6pm to 6 am by any police officer, unless and until there is a woman constable with them.
Why were the police in such a hurry to take her at the midnight time to the police station? If it was your sister would you feel ok to let her go at that time of the night?
And there were 4 watchmen if one was there and he had gone for 5 min what was the harm?
Lets start from start meghna is wrong with these things:
1.wanting cigarette at the middle of the night when she should have had it if she has such an addiction.
2.Fighting the guard when she could have told to secretary of the society later on.
3. Getting blank and stripping in front of the police officers.
About 1. And 2. They are not entirely her mistakes.
2. If a guard says things like that he should be beaten. If she was my sister i would have been proud of her that she doesn't get scared of cat calling and can protect herself.
3. Was totally wrong but understand this. There were 7 police constables waiting for her outside. All against her. And they weren't letting her go, talking to her in harsh language you can hear on video too. Is it the way you would want to be called if you were a girl? She panicked and did something stupid.
Police here have broken the law to force a woman to take her against her will. Talking in that kind of language, all shows that they had no respect for her. ( Aana padega kyun nahi aayegi? Kal tak ka time nahi he)
It was when society gathered together they started talking politely. Watchman was still talking in a abusive language which shows that he could have abused her before.
We should stop slut shaming her. The police only called the woman constables when the society gathered.
Tell your sisters too they have right to say no to police constables before they are accompanied with woman constable.
